The first glacier session of the summer season couldn’t have been a more memorable one! Miguel brought Lucero out onto the ice with one incredible surprise waiting in his pocket. As light rain drifted across the glacier, the mountains disappeared into the clouds, and the brilliant blue meltwater carved its way through the ice beneath our feet. It felt as though the entire landscape was holding its breath alongside us.

There’s something wonderfully surreal about witnessing the beginning of forever in a place so unique and ever changing. And of course, there are few commutes to a photo session quite as unforgettable as a helicopter flight with Coastal Helicopters Inc. over an endless icefield! 🚁🧊🏔️

Congratulations, lucerovillarin & Miguel! Thank you for letting me document such an incredible moment.

Some weddings become more than a beautiful memory. Looking back four years, Noah & Garrett’s adventure elopement feels like the beginning of something much bigger. It was the first times I truly fell in love with Southeast Alaska, not just as a place to photograph, but as a landscape that has a way of quietly changing you.

From glaciers spilling into turquoise water to fields of wildflowers tucked beneath towering peaks, every stop along the journey felt more breathtaking than the last. It wasn’t just a wedding day, it was an expedition through one of the most remarkable places any of us had ever experienced.

A special shoutout to my husband, Louis Hoock of Alaska Adventure Sailing, who crafted the day’s route and led us to these unforgettable locations. It also happened to be the trip where we first met… a week that neither of us could have imagined would lead to the life we now share.

As a photographer, some places just become part of your story, and Southeast Alaska will always be part of mine. 🤍

It’s finally starting to feel like summer here in Southeast Alaska, and I couldn’t be happier 🏔️🌞🌿

I loved spending an evening at Sandy Beach with these dear friends, documenting this sweet season of life for them. There’s something so special about slow summer evenings, little moments together, and photographs you’ll treasure long after the season has passed.

I’m continuing to offer family mini sessions in Juneau throughout July, August, and September! If you’ve been thinking about updating your family photos, I’d love to chat. And if you know someone who might be interested, I’d be so grateful if you’d tag them below.

Every October, my heart starts wandering back to New Mexico. The cottonwoods turn to gold, the aspens begin to glow, and the landscape takes on that unmistakable warmth that feels truly unique to the American Southwest. Looking back through galleries, Kyla & Mike’s wedding at The Stakeout in Taos still feels like one of my favorites.

It was equal parts desert romance and outlaw chic: bolo ties, cowboy hats, velvet, Ranch Road boots, pastel florals bursting with color, and a celebration that felt completely true to who they are. The circular elements of the venue itself was very fitting as their wedding happened on an eclipse!

I’ll be back in my home state this October, and I can’t wait to chase the fall colors all over again.

There are some wedding color palettes that never go out of style. Tucked among the palms and gardens of La Jolla, its historic rooms, archways, and library corners create the kind of atmosphere that photographs beautifully from every angle. Add in Allie & Jake’s bright florals and soft blue palette, and the result was a wedding that felt effortlessly joyful from beginning to end.

A perfect reminder that timeless doesn’t have to mean neutral.

One of my favorite things about photographing a wedding is watching how a couple moves through the day together. Madelyn & Zach had a quiet ease about them from the very beginning. No rushing, no forcing moments… just genuine excitement, plenty of laughter, and that unmistakable feeling of finding your favorite person in every room.

The gardens, the florals, the historic courtyard all made for a beautiful backdrop, but what I remember most is the way they looked at each other. Still one of my favorite Santa Barbara weddings to revisit.

Looking back through weddings from the past few years, Madelyn & Zach’s celebration always stops me in my tracks. Every detail felt like it had been gathered straight from a garden in bloom… the soft pastel palette, the overflowing florals, the weathered brick pathways. The entire day seemed to unfold with effortless grace, a timeless reminder that great design isn’t just about how a wedding looks, but about how it feels.

A constant movement on the coast of Riviera Maya at the exquisite … the wind off the water, fabric in motion, palms shifting overhead. Movement becomes part of the design, where a steady ocean breeze meets salt air and open light… softening edges, loosening structure, and shaping each detail as it settles into place.

There is a certain softness to the Riviera Maya, where salt lingers in the air, linen catches the breeze, and time seems to loosen its grip. Sun-warmed textures, quiet intimacy, and a palette drawn from sea, sand, and shadow.
