Some wedding days remind you that the best moments are the ones you could never plan.
The day started with torrential rain. The kind where you start wondering what we needed a plan B. But through it all, Kelsie stayed so calm and full of joy because at the end of the day she was just excited to marry the man she had prayed for.
Then, about 30 minutes before the ceremony, the rain stopped. The water became still, and the sun started breaking through the clouds.
Kelsie’s dad walked her down the aisle in their backyard to the family yacht, a place that holds so much of her story. She grew up boating with her dad, making memories on those waters, and now she was saying yes to forever in the very place that had meant so much throughout her life.
To make it even more special, Jacob works on the mechanical side of yachts, so the location wasn’t just beautiful, it was woven into both of their stories.
Standing on the bow surrounded by the people they love most, they said their vows. And as they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Bonardi, a vivid double rainbow appeared.
One of those moments where everyone just looked around in disbelief. It was such a sweet sign from the Lord.
And funny enough, about five years ago I interviewed with Kelsie’s dad for a job. It didn’t end up working out, but we stayed connected over the years as I grew my business. So when Kelsie reached out and asked me to capture her wedding day, it was an immediate yes.
We closed the night with amazing food, tear filled speeches and the most alive dance floor.
What an honor to step into a story that has been unfolding for years and preserve the beginning of their next chapter.
