One of my favorite things about this job is getting to watch love grow.

First, it’s the excitement of a baby bump. The anticipation. The dreams of who this little person will be.

Then suddenly, I’m standing in front of the same couple again, and there’s a baby in their arms.

I get to watch the way moms light up when they look at their little ones. The way dads who once swore they’d never be the emotional type completely melt into the softest, mushiest versions of themselves. The way a baby’s eyes search for the faces they love most.

There’s something so special about being invited back into these seasons of life. To capture the milestones, the growth, the tiny details that change far too quickly.

Every time a family trusts me with another chapter of their story, I don’t take it for granted.

Watching couples become parents, watching families grow, and preserving these moments before they become memories is something I’ll never stop being grateful for.

I truly love what I do.

What do you see when you look at these photos?

A strong woman.
A confident woman.
A beautiful woman standing in the sunlight without a care in the world.

But what you don’t see is the story beneath the surface.

You don’t see the pain she carries every day. You don’t see the exhaustion that comes from fighting a battle no one else can see. You don’t see the appointments, the flare-ups, the moments she has to dig deep just to keep showing up.

That’s the thing about invisible illness. So often the strongest people in the room are carrying the heaviest burdens.

To the outside world, she looks radiant. Powerful. Unstoppable.

And she is.

Not because she isn’t hurting, but because she keeps moving forward despite it.

That’s what makes her a warrior.

This is one of the reasons I love photography so much. It’s more than taking pretty pictures. It’s art. It’s storytelling. Sometimes a photograph captures exactly what someone feels. Other times it reveals the contrast between what the world sees and what a person is quietly carrying behind the smile.

Every image has a story.

This one tells the story of resilience.

I’ll take the wild kids, the dirt on the boots, the dads throwing babies in the air, and the moms laughing at all of it every single time. 🤍

You don’t need perfect.

You don’t need everyone looking at the camera.

You just need your people.

The magic is already there. My job is just to catch it before it slips by.

💜 Lavender Field Mini Sessions are Here! 💜

I’m so excited to be returning to Longview Lavender Farm on July 11th & 12th for one of my favorite weekends of the year!

These aren’t your typical mini sessions. Instead of standing in one spot and smiling at the camera, we’ll take a relaxed little walk through the blooming lavender fields, stopping at some of my favorite spots along the way for photos. The lavender, mountain views, and summer light create the most beautiful backdrop for families, couples, children, maternity, seniors, and anyone wanting to capture this season of life.

At the end of our time together, you’ll have a chance to stop by the adorable lavender shop and browse all of the handmade lavender goodies and gifts the farm has to offer. It makes the whole experience feel like a fun summer outing rather than just a photo session. 🌿✨
