Jennifer and Nick’s North ForkGlacier National Park fall engagement session captured their connection to the North Fork of the Flathead River and Glacier National Park beyond with a fresh coat of snow on the mountain peaks.

Rafting on the North Fork from Canada down to Columbia Falls during the summer months is one of their favorite activities together. Jen and Nick picked the locations along the river and I wanted to stop in at the Polebridge Mercantile for a loaf of beer bread. Hint: it makes great french toast.

Crystal Lake Montana Wedding – Steve and Lynette were married recently on their lakeside property near Happy’s Inn half-way between Libby and Kalispell on Highway 2.

Their reception was held across the highway from Happy’s Inn at the Kickin’ Horse Saloon.

It was truly a privilege to document such a heartfelt local wedding in rural Montana.

On this the last day of 2019, I'm proud to share a picture from Crystal Moody and Sam's farmhouse wedding last Sept. The picture recently won an award from Wedding Photojournalist Association. It's an honor to compete with many of the best wedding photojournalists worldwide.
Emotional pictures such as this are why I photograph weddings. The feeling I get from playing my cards carefully enough to allow me to be this close yet not have my presence felt is a gift that fills my heart.

Doctor Doctor - Megan and Matthew who both recently finished Medical School and internships, decided to do their engagement pictures in Glacier National Park while they were on vacation this week from Indiana.
We didn't see any bears but we did see Mountain Goats, Big Horn Sheep and a family of Ptarmigans while hiking up to the Overlook from Logan Pass.
