After shuttering photography in 2020, it was wonderful to take the camera out for a good run, both figuratively and literally. What a treat to see this sweet family again!!

For beautiful Robyn's maternity session, I headed to the Big Island this past weekend. The Kona shores were full of fisherman and families camping in anticipation of July 4th, so we joined them on the unpaved and rocky roads to find a little piece of paradise for ourselves. The black lava rocks and sunlight filtering through the haze looked dreamy and Robyn, as always, was simply stunning in her long, lace dress.

Hawaii is a favorite spot for destination weddings and it's not uncommon to see brides and grooms out and about at our beautiful beaches and parks. And yet, as I was still amazed by how many smiles and happy congratulations Tracy and Patrick received from complete strangers. Just as we were about to leave, a woman brought her daughter over to meet Tracy, saying that her daughter kept talking about the princess in the beautiful white dress. She is certainly mesmerizing!! She also made her own stunning bouquet!

This is such a special couple near and dear to my heart. It was five years ago when Davon emailed me and we began planning how he would surprise Robin by proposing on their Hawaii vacation. She said yes! A year later, they flew back from New York and I photographed their wedding. And today, I'll be on a plane to the Big Island where they are on their first babymoon and we'll be taking maternity photos! I can't get over what an honor it is to be even a small part of these moments in people's lives.
