A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure to be one of the photography hosts for 's March meet up. It was a pure delight to walk into a space styled with a Far East theme from the build-your-own tea bar to the bespoke drinks from .n.bannerkc to beautiful charcuterie from to the exceptionally well-balanced cookies from .

The food options available showed off some unique really options that planners, photographers, and other wedding professionals within the KC area can recommend to our clients looking for something beyond the ordinary.

Working with at , I made my official networking premiere as a Kansas City-area wedding photographer. I have a few styled shoots under my belt and I have shoots that I was lucky enough to have tagged along as a student. But as an introvert, meeting people and making solid contacts has always been the hard part. My co-host talked on her post about the loneliness that often comes with being a soloprenuer and I agree with her whole-heartedly. It's very easy to silo yourself away and feel like you are the only person out on an island. Which was part of the reason I had wanted to co-host with Lauren and Jazmyn with — to push myself out of my wallflower comfort zone and to meet more people.

It was low-key, good vibes, and filled with high quality people, all ready to network over our shared position vending within the KC wedding sphere. Some of the people I met, like me, were just starting out in their wedding careers whereas others were more practiced at their craft and just as happy to make new friends. Because that's what these events are really about, isn't it? You don't want to recommend just "some photographer" or "some caterer," you want to recommend to your clients people whom you've had a positive experience with. And I can genuinely say, I had a wonderful experience with you all this past March. Let's keep in touch!

When it comes to your wedding, the details matter. When it comes to your business, the details matter.

Stepping in as a co-host with , I was able to see the details of my KC wedding vendor peers in full force. From the well-styled space (), to exquisite paper goods (), to intentionally curated florals (), to the incredibly detailed and thought out displays from and . All of which and more joined together to transform into a Far East-inspired space.

If you're paying this much attention to the details, you want to have an equal amount of attention paid to them.
