When I first started taking pictures of my girls I had thought that photography would be a great gig for me. I take amazing photos and do great edits, but I was a little discouraged because cameras cost so dang much! For months I took photos on my cheap little camera and made the best of it! All the while my Papa kept telling me that he was so proud of me and my dream to be a photographer and that he really wanted to get me a good camera! Well todays that day! My Papa actually did it!

My Papa has always been in love with photography and was my biggest supporter! Papa served in the Army as a Tank Mechanic. While he was in the Army he took many photos and one of them was actually published in a magazine!!! My Papa bought me this beautiful, amazing camera and also gave me all of his books/tapes about photography.

As most of you know, I dropped out of high school. When I made the decision to go back to school online, my papa was also my biggest supporter. He pushed me everyday and texted me all the time asking how far I had gotten and telling me I needed to get it done! I DID graduate and I don’t think I could have done it without him always encouraging me. He said this was my graduation gift and even gifted me with so much more!

Thank you Papa, for everything! I don’t know what I would do without you! This means so much to me and I can’t wait to follow into your footsteps!

Watch out world, I’m ready for you.
