On my recent trip to Yosemite, one of my favorite things to do was watch the rock climbers on the face of El Capitan.

As we watched from the base, you could barely see the climbers with the naked eye. That's when I decided to bust out the ole 500mm lens.

What a game changer! We could literally watch these guys live as they made their ascent.

We did this three different times during our trip...each time crowds would form around us to look into my view finder.

The edited photo below proves that sometimes in photography...SIZE MATTERS!

I'll never forget this trip Joe Witkowski and Dennis Wilson...whom are also pictured.

Take a look at this impressive rock formation...famously known as "El Capitan ". Rock climbers from all over the world come to Yosemite each year to climb this giant. It's over 3,000 ft from base to summit.

One of my favorite things to do was get close to the base and watch the mountain climbers on it.

When I took this picture on 9/21/23- I didn't realize the hell that cloud was brining to hikers on top of Half Dome at that time.

It was obvious that something was wrong, as I watched the rescue helicopter make a trip up from the valley floor...twice.

We later found out that two people fell and two others were struck by lightning. You can read more about it here.

Not even 24 hours later I had a completely different experience on the summit of Half Dome.
