In the fall of 2025, we had the privilege to document a truly historic moment where tenant unions from across the country converged in Kansas City for the founding convention of the Tenant Union Federation.

Tenants from Montana, Colorado, Connecticut, Chicago, Kentucky and all across the country not only worked to ratify their federations constitution and teach each other lessons in organizing, but to launch a coordinated, first-of-it’s-kind rent strike against their shared corporate landlord, Capital Realty Group.
