Things I stopped doing that made my photo sessions better instantly 👇

1. Trying to get everyone to be still and smile perfectly. Some of the best photos happen when we’re allowed to be ourselves.

2. Expecting kids to behave like tiny adults. They need to move, play, explore, and sometimes be a little wild. Let’s let them!

3. Trying to make every photo Pinterest-perfect. I’d rather capture your family than recreate someone else’s.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s photos that actually feel like you.

Senior parents: don’t wait until fall to think about senior photos!

The summer before senior year is the ideal time for your session. Schedules are more relaxed, the weather is beautiful, and you’ll have your images ready long before yearbook and graduation deadlines arrive.

My summer and fall senior dates tend to fill first, so if your teen is part of the Class of 2027, now is a great time to reserve your spot.

Let’s create photos that celebrate who they are right now before this exciting year begins.

Some of my favorite galleries start with chaos: kids running, parents unsure, no “groove” to be found. And then something shifts. You just have to trust it.
