My passion for photography focuses on adoptable shelter animals. The dog and cat portraits I produce are a result of spending countless hours at the Kansas City, Missouri animal shelter operated by the Kansas City Pet Project. Without help, these amazing animals may not have the opportunity to show their true spirit and joy of life in imagery. I have found through many hours of shooting and editi

ng that a combination of extensive patience and timing are necessary to capture these images. What I enjoy most about photography is the gratification of taking hundreds of shots over many hours and the cold chills I feel when I've finally got the one I have been waiting for. I have also recently started capturing cityscapes and night photography- images that allow a slower pace and concentration with endless opportunities for creativity.
