Kīlauea volcano is erupting once again. The eruption has resumed within Halemaʻumaʻu crater in Kīlauea’s summit caldera and it is spectacular! Glad we hiked out to see it last night.

Mauna Loa volcano began erupting in Moku‘āweoweo Caldera on November 27, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m. It has been 38 years since the last eruption, the longest quiet period on record.

I took this shot Memorial Day of 2017. The Northern Lights danced above the National Cemetery outside of Sturgis SD. Thank you to all those that paid the ultimate price for my freedom.

The northern lights lit up the Black Hills National Cemetery for Memorial Day. Thank you to all these Heroes for their sacrifice. We won't forget. We won't take it for granted.

I love that the bears are all out finally. It was an absolute beautiful day in Cade's Cove today. I enjoyed getting out and hiking a bit into some areas I typically always see bears. I only saw 4 today but that was plenty to fill my heart

Even though most of the clouds managed to move away right before sunset last night, there still was some decent color. Either way, no better place to see a sunset than in the Smoky Mountains! Feel free to share! Smoky Mountain Living Magazine

Sorry I haven't posted pictures since May! We have been busy all summer at home gardening and going on family adventures. Things have calmed back down for us and I will be back out with my camera. Sometimes just a nice ride through Cade's Cove is enough to calm all the background noise in your life. To soak in such a beautiful creation. So thankful the cove is back open.

Bears and more bears! It was so great to be able to get into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park today finally. It has been a long few months. I encourage you to get out and enjoy the fresh air and go for a nice ride. It does wonders for the soul.
