This girl, it’s this girls birthday today! This is a photo from her 30th birthday shoot(2years ago). Still one of the most fun times I’ve had on a shoot, a lot of clean up too 😆 but worth it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Another photo for my window series. Took me a little while to get this one out for no other reason other than I was being lazy 😆. I sent is out to get printed then realized there was an area I didn’t fix… we shall see if it can be hidden when framed. ( this image has been fixed).

When you visit a friend you have a photoshoot. Keeping my “window” series going I knew I had to include my favorite model. While my previous 2 images had myself looking away from the camera, I look many images to match the same aesthetic but I really loved the way I have caught her looking at the viewer. Almost like she has caught you staring into her private moment.

It has been a long time since I have created art for myself. I love photographing weddings but with nothing lined up right now for 2022 I want this year to be about finding my love for creating art again. My last photograph left me inspired and gave me the itch to create a series. Something I haven’t done since college. Along with that is something else I never thought I would do which is to use myself as a model. I always said I wanted to be a photographer so I could be behind the camera but time for some change.

8 years ago today my best friends got married and I photographed my first wedding. Where am I today? Sitting on the same friends couch as we prepare to celebrate 2022. Happy Anniversary Kasey and Max.

Vemeer has always been one of my favorite artists. While his famous Girl with a Pearl Earring is a gorgeous painting it is his other works of ordinary people doing ordinary things that I grew to love. Girl Reading a Letter at an Open Window has been a work I have wanted to attempt to create my own rendition of through photography. While I sat on my couch yesterday bored admiring the light through the window I finally gave myself the needed motivation to try this little project. I titled is Girl Reading A Text, haha, and while there are no animals on the original painting my little girl was so interested in what I was doing I had to make her part of the image.
