We were basically done. Portraits were wrapped, we were heading back to the party, and then we stopped at a bridge and I said "one more" and they just went for it.

That's the shot.

Some of my favorite photos happen in the in-between moments. Not the planned ones, not the posed ones. The ones where everyone has relaxed and stopped performing and is just actually present with each other.

That's what I'm always chasing.

If "I'm not photogenic" is the reason you haven't reached out yet, I need you to hear me on this.

Every single person who has ever said that to me has been wrong. Not kind of wrong. Completely wrong.

Being uncomfortable in front of a camera isn't a you problem. It's a photographer problem. The right photographer makes you forget the camera is there. I will tell you exactly where to stand, what to do with your hands, and then I will make you laugh until you stop thinking about any of it.

The photos take care of themselves from there.

I get a lot of "I don't even know how this works" messages and honestly that's my favorite place to start.

Here's exactly what booking with me looks like:

You reach out. I reach out back. We talk about your day, what you're envisioning, what makes you nervous. If you want to hop on a call, great. If you'd rather just text back and forth because phone calls are a lot, also great. No judgment, I promise.
We figure out which package actually makes sense for you. Not the most expensive one, the right one. If something needs to be adjusted I'll tell you.

When you're ready, I send over a contract. You review it. No pressure, no countdown timer, no "this offer expires in 24 hours" nonsense. When you're good, you sign and put down a 30% retainer to hold your date.

The remainder is due 30 days before your wedding, and if you need to break it into payments between now and then, we can do that too.

That's it. That's the whole thing.

This is Trillium Lake and that is Mt. Hood and I will never get tired of shooting here.

There's something about this location that makes people forget to be nervous. The view does the heavy lifting and I just get to follow two people around while they're completely in their element.

If you've been dreaming about an Oregon mountain elopement or a small intimate wedding somewhere that actually takes your breath away, I want to talk to you.

This is what it looks like when two people are just genuinely happy to be there.

No stiff posing, no awkward "now look in love" moments. Just you, your person, and a photographer who knows how to get out of the way at the right time.

Genuine question: how many times have you smiled through something that was Actually A Lot?

Yeah. Me too.

I'm neurodivergent, and the people I work best with usually are too. Anxious brains. Complicated histories. People who have spent their whole lives masking and are absolutely exhausted by it. People who need a minute before they warm up. People who were told they were "bad at photos" and believed it because no one ever made them feel safe enough to just exist.

That's my people.

Here's how it actually goes: I will tell you exactly where to stand and what to do with your hands. I start with a base pose that feels comfortable for both of you and then we just vibe.

Jokes, laughing, occasionally tickling. I am getting the shot I need while you are too busy giggling to overthink anything.

I'm not going to rush you, perform at you, or make your wedding day feel like a production you have to get through. You just have to show up. I've got the rest.
