Did you know that the has partnered with to help expand and renovate various areas of the Keller Sports Park?! When it’s all finished, this park will be a space the community can gather together and play. Looking forward to seeing it finished, but until then, I’ll keep you updated on the park’s progress!
In these photos, you’re looking at Parkhill’s engineering and architecture team led by Larry Stone.
Larry Stone, PE, RPLS, is the Team Leader of DFW Site Development in Parkhill’s Site Development Practice. Early in his nearly 50-year career, his primary focus was municipal engineering and residential development. Today, he continues to provide input on municipal jobs as well as much of Parkhill’s athletics facilities, community parks, and site work.
As we walked the site together, Larry shared his knowledge with fellow engineers and interns. He exemplifies what it means to be a leader and mentor. He personally drove his team to the site, answered every question they had, and educated them on the intricacies of engineering… all with a smile. He is one of my favorite people at Parkhill to work with. An absolute joy to be around.

Love tennis? 🎾 Have you been to ? Last year (2023), I had the opportunity to photograph their grand opening. It was incredible! The new facility, designed by the humble & talented team at , had six indoor courts, bringing the total number of courts within the complex to 29! As someone who isn’t an athletic person, I myself wanted to jump in and play. It was so cool to see people of all skill levels practicing alongside one another. The Courts of McKinney is such a fun place, that truly brings everyone together.

I’m just gonna be honest. This photoshoot nearly broke me.
After this sweet family shared what they envisioned for their photoshoot, we set a date & time - I drew up sketches - I scouted locations days before… then as I’m driving to downtown…my mouth drops & my eyes widen as I see the sun starting to set… 😳😱before we could even reach the city. YALL. I forgot about the time change! I scheduled the time BEFORE the time change & COMPLETELY FORGOT that it needed to be adjusted. I felt like a failure. I was flustered. I was embarrassed. I was disappointed that our time would be cut short. It was nearly the girls’ bedtime… But what could I do? …Haha Janelle was impeccably dressed. Do you see her outfit?! She came to werk lol. 😆 I couldn’t *completely* let her down. So, I shook it off & did the best I could that night. Afterwards, I took a long walk around the city alone. My soul was crushed. I brought it before the Lord, hoping He’d help me redeem it.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago - I was at Janelle’s house, painting her girls’ nails before bed, when I saw a photo from the photoshoot, on their wall, in a gold frame. I was stunned. What I believed to be a failure, they believed to be valuable... & just like that God reminded me of my worth… even though I can miss the mark sometimes, He’s still with me. - cheering me on as I journey through the highs & lows of creating - finding ways to encourage me…oh what a wonderful feeling it is…like a child… to see your artwork displayed on the wall for the first time. It never gets old.
I love you, Janelle. So thankful we’ve only grown closer friends since that day. You’re truly the greatest gift to me.
