Fall portrait season is approaching, and this year I want to place greater emphasis on what happens beyond the photography session.
A portrait can become much more than an image viewed on a phone or stored among hundreds of digital files. Properly sized, professionally printed and beautifully framed, it becomes part of the home.
These two examples show how a finished portrait can command a room—whether displayed above the bed, in a living area or in another important space. The portrait, its scale and the framing are considered together so the finished piece feels at home in its surroundings.

Event Coverage for the "Tarrant County Judge Kick" off for the Republican Party with Tarrant County Judge Tim O'Hare and Senator Ted Cruz. Leslie Barrows running for the 231st District. One thing I didn't know about Senator Cruz, it is how charismatic he is as a speaker.

When I opened my up my mailbox and Saw Bezo on the cover of Fortune, I was a bit miffed, as clearly, he is using my identity (and good looks) for his own publicity stunts... I mean, could it be any more obvious!?! WTF.

Recently I love doing these "in your face" close ups. Here's Jaden Moore, Andrew Francis, and Murrey King. The "thinking" gesture stands the test of time. It works. (Except for those who... um don't think) The tight crop, removing all the other elements, bring into focus the 1:1 connection between viewer and subject. These look incredible when blown up oversized. And, in this aspect ratio of 16:9, they make for outstanding banners, wide framed shots.

I’m offering ten Local Leaders Portrait Commissions to business owners, executives, and public-facing professionals across Northeast Tarrant County.
After nine years in my Southlake studio, I recently opened a new portrait studio in Keller and am introducing the commission at a special introductory price of $750.
