Hey everybody! It’s been awhile since I introduced myself here, and for those of you who are new to my feed, WELCOME 💖

I’m Karen … and this is me in a nutshell: heart centered, joy seeking, wanderlusting mystic, believer in magic & miracles, the power of beauty, and the life-changing possibility in a great cup of coffee.

I am also fiercely feral (in all the best ways 💖).

Being a creator behind the lens feeds the deepest parts of my soul. It is my gift; my outlet; my passion; my calling. It is true that a picture can be worth a thousand words, and that a single image has the power to change lives.

Great photos are more than art. They have the ability to tell stories. To heal. To inspire. To motivate. To ignite. To make us laugh. To bring us to tears. To remind us of our humanity, and our interconnectedness. I think that’s pretty special and important work 📸

They came. They saw. They basked in blackberry goodness galore! Last Saturday’s 6th annual Blackberry COBBler Festival by Cobb Area Council was a huge hit again this year, drawing big crowds to enjoy a full day of great music, arts & crafts vendors, delicious eats, contests, and, of course, countless trays of fresh-baked blackberry cobbler 😋

Great fun was had by all, and I was grateful to be the Official Photographer at this year‘s event 📸.

Thank you to all the hard-working event organizers who pulled off an incredible festival this year. Enjoy these highlights photos.

I thought I had missed last night’s Lunar Eclipse in Pisces….the view of the full sturgeon moonrise hidden behind Mt. Konocti from my vantage point.

But I kept checking, and a little before 10pm she crested the summit—our ethereal moon still very much in partial eclipse transit. I shot this series between 10pm & 11pm while basking in the magical energy of the moment.
