My name is McKenna Nova Rae, owner of Nova Rae Photography and I want to thank you for visiting my page! I am an obsessive coffee drinker, dog mom, and travel as often as I can to anywhere I can.

DANG. I have taken a longer than anticipated break from posting, and photography in general! I’ve been gone so long the bees came back before I did 😂. A lot has happened the past few months. The biggest thing? I’ve moved! Now that things have calmed down (slightly) I expect to be a bit more connected. Thanks for hanging in there with me! Much love 😘 & happy

I will still be serving the Greater Seattle Area and the majority of the PNW, but small changes will occur over the remainder of this year.

“Seattle Sunset Silhouette”

I was about to head home from a chilly maternity session when I found myself driving over a bridge. I looked over and was in awe over this beautiful sunset. Per usual fashion I make a quick U-turn and run back over this bridge to get the shot. Right as I did, this tug boat made its appearance, making it the perfect example of “right place at the right time”

I don’t think I’ve ever posted it on this page, but outside of photography I hold a position at The Seattle Times (non photography) This year I had the opportunity to use one of my personal photos on our internal materials. This one made the cut 🤓. See 2nd photo for the cover.

Creating art and letting it find its people is such a special feeling.

The first dance at your wedding is one of the most memorable moments of the day, and J & D sure made theirs fun! Their playful personalities, and the connection they have together truly made this an amazing moment to witness and photograph. Pop in some crisp air and falling leaves and there isn’t anything better!
