I took this portrait of my father when I returned to China in 2024.
One morning, he sat quietly waiting for a haircut, surrounded by a wall of collages he had created from old photographs. After a stroke changed his ability to communicate, these images became another language—a way to hold on to memories and tell his story.
This portrait became the beginning of The Hue of Memories II.
I feel incredibly fortunate to bring together an extraordinary group of artists, each offering their own unique voice and vision to explore the colors and emotions of life’s different stages: youth, growth, reflection, and legacy. I’m deeply grateful for their trust and for the beautiful work they are sharing.
