✨ Studio session with this gorgeous mama‑to‑be ✨
I had the best time photographing a coworker who most people only ever see in full nurse‑practitioner mode — scrubs, hustle, and zero time for glam. So when she walked into the studio looking like this, I swear my jaw hit the floor.
She works full time, she’s doing this whole motherhood journey solo, and she still showed up absolutely glowing. Confident, stunning, and completely owning the moment.
It’s wild seeing someone you know from the chaos of work step into a totally different version of themselves. And honestly, she nailed it.

Sometimes babies just don’t sleep during their session… and honestly? Part of me loves it.

Wide eyes, curious looks, tiny expressions, and those little moments of connection where we get to interact instead of tiptoe around a sleepy babe.

While there are certain poses (like chin-on-hands) that require baby to be in a deep sleep for safety, every session is guided by what that baby is comfortable with on that day. And that’s exactly how it should be.

At the end of the day, my priority is always the same: beautiful, safe images that capture your baby just as they are- awake, sleepy, or somewhere in between 🤍

No two sessions are ever the same, and that’s part of the magic.

Not just because one day these images will be treasured—but because of what they mean.

A daughter’s first sense of safety, strength, and protection often comes from her dad. The way he holds her, comforts her, and shows up for her quietly teaches her what love should look like. It sets the standard for the relationships she’ll accept later in life.

And then there’s this part—the softness.
The tenderness we don’t always get to see.
Strong arms becoming gentle.
Protectors becoming nurturers.

These moments matter.

Hi, I’m Tawny 👋🏼
And somehow it’s been three years since I started this page and almost two years since I officially launched my newborn photography business.

I’m a single mom to two incredible kids (ages 6 & 8), and they are truly the reason I’m here. When my son was a baby, I wanted to soak up every single moment. I was constantly taking photos, getting creative, and trying to freeze time in any way I could. That curiosity quickly turned into me diving headfirst into learning photography on my own.

And whew… some of those early photos of my son were rough 😅
But I kept going. I learned everything I could—late nights watching YouTube (), studying online educators (), practicing over and over again—because I loved it, and because those moments mattered so much to me.

Around that same time, my experience with my son’s newborn photographer () left a lasting impression. It wasn’t just about beautiful images—it was about feeling cared for, supported, and seen during one of the most vulnerable seasons of life. That experience planted a seed I couldn’t ignore.

Today, I specialize in newborn photography with a focus on natural light, simple setups, and timeless images—while always putting baby safety and parent comfort first. As a nurse, a mom, and someone who deeply understands how fleeting this season is, I don’t take this work lightly.

These photos become treasures your little one will look back on and say, “That’s my mom. She loved me so much.” My babies are now 6 and 8 years old, and LOVE looking at their newborn photos.

Including siblings in your newborn photos is so important because these are the moments that show the very beginning of their bond. 🤍
And if you’re nervous about big brother or sister holding the baby, don’t worry… this setup is perfect for keeping everyone safe and comfortable. Siblings can snuggle close without ever needing to actually hold baby, and the photos turn out just as sweet. ✨
