As our birthday month comes to a close, here's one final look back at 12 years of Hazelmade: This time, catalog covers.

I design these catalogs for our wholesale buyers each year. For a long time, we printed physical catalogs to hand out at trade shows. Now, our catalogs are digital only, but it's still important to me to mirror the feeling of opening a physical collection of photographs that inspire the reader to slow down and pause. I want the texture and feel of our objects to come to life, even in a digital space.

These covers have changed a lot overtime, but I love the warm and welcoming feel of our 2026 catalog. Like so much we've done this year, it feels both fresh and familiar.

Thank you joining me on this behind the scenes deep dive into 12 years of Hazelmade. I'm grateful for everyone who celebrated with us this month, and everyone who has supported me and my business throughout this journey. 🤍

A few days late, but we're still reeling from all the love we received at Hazelmade's 12th Birthday Party.

Thank you so much to everyone who celebrated with me. I'm so proud of everything this business has accomplished over the last 12 years, and I am grateful to everyone who has been there and supported me along the way. It's a gift to be a part of this community.

A behind the scenes look at the Hazelmade studios over the years.

I started Hazelmade in my apartment, doing everything from sketching to product development to order fulfillment on my own in a small space. When we moved into our Kent home, my studio moved with me, taking up its own room in our house. For a few years, I made my space work for me, until in 2021, I began the process of moving into my first dedicated studio, which was home to Hazelmade until last summer.

My new studio couldn't be more different from where I started, but it still feels like home.

Over the past 12 years of Hazelmade, our approach to product photography has changed. My longtime friend and photographer, Caleb, has worked with me from the beginning to capture all the details and textures that bring these objects to life.

In the early days, we let the photos feel loose and warm. We started to shift to crisp, clean lines, with high-contrast and heavy styling. At our most recent photoshoot, we wanted to return to where we started, to tell a story of the objects in motion.

Sometimes, you have to return to the instincts of your early days for creative inspiration.
