This night I had an inner debate. Leave the warm crackling camp fire to hike into the meadow, or sink into my sleeping bag. The argument for comfort was appealing. Breaking my trance from the fire I stared up at the sky, moonless, clear, bright stars. Conditions were perfect. I grabbed my backpack and started hiking. The amber glow soon fell away... Click.. my head lamp lit the trail ahead. The rolling thunder of croaking frogs vibrated above all other sounds. Stepped past the last tree into this big open meadow, the Milky Way floating above. I forgot all about the comfort of the fire and my sleeping bag. Set up the tripod, dialed in focus, aperture, iso, shutter... Click
