Such an incredibly special day with the Shapiros 🤍 The kind of day that leaves you with a full heart, and a belly full of butterflies.

Sierra wrote personalized letters to every single guest so everyone felt included. She planned their day around creating the best experience for the people they love most, which says everything about who they are.

And on top of that, at the end of her wedding day, Sierra told me not to send next-day sneak peeks (she would even get upset if I would), so I could fully enjoy Mother’s Day with my family 🥹 And then the very next day, on Mother’s Day, and in the middle of their newlywed bliss, she still took the time to send me the sweetest happy Mother’s Day message.

I say it all the time, but the people behind these weddings are what make this job so meaningful. Feeling so very grateful for kind, thoughtful souls like these two 🤍

Curaçao “Dushi Korsou”. A place I called home for 5 years before moving to the US. A place that holds so many memories, a lot of hellos and goodbyes when Robert and I were long distance and flew back and forth.

An island with a few rough edges and oh so many beautiful hidden gems. An island full of life, full of color, and full of soul. One that somehow stays with you, no matter how far you go.

Besides The US and The Netherlands, it will always be one of my 3 “homes” and we absolutely loved being back, even if only for a week, to indulge in all that this beautiful place has to offer.

Utterly in love with this day. The kind of love that’s felt in every hug, every smile, every tear, and in the absolute joy of people simply being so happy for two people they love. To me, that’s what truly makes a wedding day unforgettable.

As a photographer, I’m drawn to what’s real. While I’ll always love and value the beautiful, timeless portraits, I find myself craving more and more the honest moments, the emotion, the connection, the in between glances. The version of you that comes out when no camera is present. No performance needed, just you being fully yourself… because that version of you is always the most beautiful one.
