Is Facebook dying?

I’m getting posts about small businesses, marketing, 25k and follow, strange videos that have nothing to do with me. I’m just so confused.

I see more adds than I do anywhere else. Seeing posts days old makes ver and over.

Ugh it feels like I switched to the Chinese version of the app.

Well I waiting yet where did long as I could before I push the news with the Facebook.

I moved to hospice last a week.

I I’m moving where I can just focus on me and me, and my family.

I’ll still joining the trail.

Lot of work to here’s is nice I several burdens lifted I’ll Ike to know about how to small/look, but it’s a kinda “stinky” lol before alll the medical stuff.

Thanks you for all your help is meant a lot to me over the years. Has it been struggling through this and I hope that we get a list in the year two if not more that I can share some of the stuff with you. Not tsure enjoyed sharing cancer with you, but you were with me, I don’t know what my official life expectancy is right now but I’m still taking medication the second one of those on so that should help for while they’re going to schedule CT scheduled soon and that wil l help know or omit if you have any questions for me feel free to chat up with me I think I can. I think this will be the last major post I put about my cancer until that time

Health/cancer update…

Alls going well but we’re down to transport. Need that commute to Houston covered. I can split the trip it both prople can spilt.

Hotel is always arranged for me.

Between the two of us Temple. Mom and I ’s I aren’t is shape to drive.

Idon’t know how much I can do this but im working on it.

Greetings friends of Owen Duffy Photograph!

I hope you are doing well in these trying times. There have been lots of changes to the way we do our normal lives over the last few months.

I know you’ve been overwhelmed with COVID-19 emails and Facebook posts. Everyone promising that they’re cleaning everything like crazy and that we’re “in this together.”

I’m a little more to the point then all that, so this won’t be that kind of message.

Back in July of 2019, I was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. I have tumors on my kidney, lungs, and lymph nodes.

My goal was not to let it affect me and continue to run my photography business while I beat cancer. That really didn’t go the way I would have liked. I struggle with energy on a daily basis as well as having a number of regular doctor appointments and a fixed treatment schedule.

I’m responding well to treatment and my tumors are shrinking. All that being said, I’m on the road to recovery, and in good spirits!

COVID-19, however, makes me nervous. Having an underlying condition makes me very susceptible to COVID-19. Despite what the politicians are saying, I do not feel it’s safe for me to conduct business at this time. With there being known cases of COVID-19 causing lung and kidney damage, I don’t think I need to risk this for now.

So, Owen Duffy Photography is shutting its doors until I, personally, feel it’s safe for me to conduct business again. I don’t know what criteria I’m going to use yet, but it will be some combination of how the COVID-19 situations is as well as where I am in my cancer treatments.

Realistically I know this could be years before I resume full operations, but if that’s the case, so be it. I will come back with a new lease on life and ready to rock and roll.

You may still see me around, as I do a lot of volunteer work for our military and will resume that as soon as I feel that’s safe. My friends at the USO have been amazing and incredibly supportive and I love helping out military.

Hello, dear page followers.

I’ve been inactive on my page for a while and I’m sorry about that. I had plans in the work to become move active here lately and bring you more lovely pictures, but plans changed.

Right now I wanted to share an emotional and heartfelt update.

As of July 29th, I’ve been diagnosed with stage 4 renal cell carcinoma. (Kidney cancer) It has metastasized into my lungs and possibly lymph nodes. I have a test coming up to check my bones as well, a common place for it to spread as well.

I won’t give the long story of events, but I’ll summarize it this way. Three ER trips, a three day stay in the hospital and somewhere around 11 assorted doctor visits, tests and procedures over the last 4 weeks. With 14 more scheduled for the rest of the year, so far.

Overall, at this point, I feel pretty good physically. Emotionally it’s a bit different but something I’m working through. With all of this going on, the physical and emotional toll, I’ve fallen behind on some projects. I plan to be all caught up in the next 2-3 weeks on the outside.

I start treatments the Thursday after posting this, so as long the treatment goes well, I should be in good shape.

I hate that I’ve let people down by taking so long to finish these projects. I hope you can understand why. Just a little more time is all I’m asking for, to get caught up.
