Today my best friend Carolina Black would have been 49 years young. After his untimely passing, I remixed my first Christ Centered Recording "Bounce" in his memory. I also make mention of him in my song/video "Remember The Titanic" when I said "Carolina Black I miss you, And I'm gonna drop your name every now and then, just to keep your memory alive, make sure they never forget you!" He was a great man, friend, brother, uncle, husband, son, coworker and my one and only twin-cousin. Unfortunately his life was cut short due to the negligence of a drunk driver. I'm admonishing everyone: PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE DRUNK, HIGH or DISTRACTED. For the past 9 years I have served as a board member on the Carolina Black scholarship committee. Through our efforts we have giving out scholarships to students at schools like Bennett College, East Carolina University. We frequently give out school supplies and support students at his Westover High School (Fayettenam, NC) where he graduated and played football. If you would like to contribute just inbox me or comment below and I can get you the information. We are partnered with the Black Child Institute in Greensboro NC. Another way you contribute is by streaming "Bounce Remix" (Link in comments) Royalties from the song are donated to the Carolina Black Scholarship Fund. This is how we keep his memory alive. Through scholarship, charity and acts of kindness we bring awareness to how he died but more importantly we highlight and exemplify HOW HE LIVED! Rest In Peace Snapper aka Carolina Black. My one and only twin/cousin.
