Most people experience art when it’s finished.
You see the video. Hear the song. Look at the artwork. Scroll, like, and move on.
But there’s a part we don’t always see: the time it took to create it.
Torbahead is a one-man project combining music, dance, and stop-motion filmmaking to create some seriously unique videos here on Instagram. And behind every one of those videos is an artist giving up something we can never get back: time.
Artists and creators often make things simply because they love doing it. A lot of us are happy to create for free. But “free” doesn’t mean it costs nothing.
We still have jobs. Bills. Families. Responsibilities. Many of us spend 6–12 hours a day working just to afford the time we spend doing what we actually love.
So if you enjoy what an artist creates, consider supporting them, not because they’re asking for a handout, but because supporting artists helps give them more time to keep creating.
