Brian Gailey Photography Stock Photography | est. 2007 It is my passion in life to capture nature through photographic art for others to enjoy.

I have been a working photographer since 2007, I love the outdoors, I love photography, and I love seeing my work on your walls. I am based out of Klamath Falls, Oregon, a small town located mid-way up the Pacific Coast about a half-hour from the California border. I am minutes away from dozens of epic photography locations, and a few hours’ drive to hundreds more. As often as possible, I travel t

hroughout the Western United States, mainly here in the Pacific Northwest, capturing photography on my adventures. Outside of the photography industry, I enjoy my family, business, and community. My family is amazing, supportive and a great source of inspiration for all that I do. Keep an eye and camera on the sky tonight (1/19/26). If these predictions hold out. We just might see some of mother natures fireworks here in Southern Oregon.

For optimal viewing - get away from city lights, find a clear patch of northern sky, starting about 7pm. Intensity should peak from 10pm to midnight.

Follow Aurora Alerts by Soft Serve News, https://www.softservenews.com/ for the latest forecasts.

UPDATE: 6:35pm - The current numbers are looking favorable with an 8Kp. Hopefully you have clear sky's away from light pollution. If so, get out and take a look.

------

Good luck to all the aurora hunters heading out tonight. However, conditions do not look as good as they did last night.

According to Aurora Alerts by Soft Serve News, the Kp index was a 9 last night which explains why people saw them as far south as Arizona.

Tonights conditions do not appear to be that strong at a forecasted 7Kp. This will place visible auroras north of the Columbia River. However, cameras should be able to capture pink color as far south as the Oregon/California border.

Check out www.softservenews.com to see the latest forecast. This is my trusted, go to source for reliable predictors of the northern lights.

Dust off your camera gear, there is a possibility for an Aurora Sunday evening into early Monday morning. With this storm people in PNW at or north of the Columbia River and away from city lights might see them directly overhead. Those near the California-Oregon border may see them on the horizon.

Framed

The abstract serene beauty of Crater Lake was captured on a summer evening with this enchanting image.

The delicate crescent of the moon is framed perfectly between the twisted, lichen-covered branches of a Whitebark Pine—an iconic symbol of Oregon's only national park.

As the setting sun casts a golden glow on the tree’s unique patterns, the texture and depth of the branches are brought to life, adding richness to the scene.

This captivating composition highlights the harmony between nature’s celestial and earthly elements, with the moon elegantly nestled within the tree’s silhouette.

Location: Crater Lake, Oregon.
