Carolinas US Am Tour

It was another great day at Arcadian Shores Golf Club for the Carolinas US AmTour!

The Championship/Player Flight delivered the closest competition of the day, with co-champions emerging after 18 holes. Gunnar Goransson and Maksis Vilcins both posted rounds of 80 (+8) to share top honors. The playoff battle was won by Maksis Vilcins to take home the title!

TC Carter captured the Hogan/Palmer Flight title with a steady round of 83 (+11). Consistency was the key, as Carter posted nines of 41 and 42 to secure a four-shot victory.

The Jones/Tiger Flight was won by Dan McNabb, who posted an 86 (+14) to finish comfortably ahead of the field.

What a great day at the perennial favorite Belmont Lake Golf Club for the Carolinas US Am Tour.

Belmont Lake Golf Club provided an excellent test for the field, and several players rose to the challenge with strong performances across all flights. The story of the day belonged to Tom Jannace, whose outstanding 6-under-par 66 was not only good enough to win the Championship Flight, but is also a new Carolinas US Am Tour scoring record. Tom had a clean card with 6 birdies and no bogeys carding rounds of 34-32.

The Player Flight featured the tightest race of the day as Dave Temple and Andy Young both finished at 77 (+5), but Temple earned the victory with a birdie on the first playoff hole.

Andy Parker captured the Hogan Flight title with a steady 82 (+10), edging John Climenhaga by a single stroke.

Mark Witmer earned top honors in the Senior Palmer Flight with an 84 (+12). David Burrell finished runner-up at 86 (+14).

Isaac Navarro claimed the Jones/Tiger Flight championship with an 84 (+12), highlighted by a strong opening nine of 41. Miles Barfield finished second at 88 (+16).

Congratulations to all of our flight champions at Aberdeen Country Club yesterday!! Overall, Aberdeen Country Club provided a challenging but rewarding test, with strong finishes and competitive play throughout every flight. Players battled through the Highlands-Meadows layout with steady winds and challenging scoring conditions.

Championship/Player Flight
Gunnar Goransson captured the Championship/Player Flight title with the round of the day, firing an outstanding 80 (+8). Goransson was remarkably consistent, posting matching 40s on both nines to secure a three-shot victory.

Hogan Flight
The Hogan Flight featured one of the tightest races of the tournament. Maria Griner earned the victory with an 86 (+14), using a steady opening 41 to hold off the field. Andy Parker finished just one shot back at 87 (+15), while Jimmy Bailey took third with an 88 (+16).

Palmer Flight
Donny Lee claimed the Palmer Flight championship with a balanced round of 44-44 for an 88 (+16). Patrick Ramsey secured second place with a 92 (+20) after steady play throughout the round.

Jones/Tiger Flight
The Jones/Tiger Flight belonged to Dan McNabb, whose impressive closing nine of 40 propelled him to an 85 (+13), the best score in the division and third-best overall in the tournament.
James Daniel finished second with a 95 (+23) after rebounding from a difficult opening side with a strong 42 on the back.
