Come paddle with me! I mounted the GoPro to the deck of my kayak and recorded a time lapse of the entire 30 mile race. I ended at 6 hours 35 minutes and got first place in my division😄🏆

Coincidence is acting on many levels today. Ive mentioned before of my Titanic obsession. 111 years later, it claimed 5 more lives recently with the announcement happening today. The pilot of the Titan's wife is a decendant of Isador and Ida Straus 😳 I have been excited for this talk at Alameda park called Lost Faces of the Titanic given by Bill May since I saw the signs for it about a month ago. On arriving, everyone pulls a name from a basket that means something at the end of the presentation. Of all the 2240 possibilites I could pull, I grab the one and only Japanese person on board (he survives and then was shamed by his country for not dying). So lastly, I just noticed prior to coming here the brand name of my door lock (see pic) 😳 Crazy, just crazy

and I met up with to log an old cache while 1/2 of renruts activated a POTA in Gameland 173. I was thrown back to a BACON Murder Mystery "are you squishin'? I'm squishin'." moment 🤣 But, it was the perfect conditions to capture this guy; thanks to Kerry for spotting him.

The ISS was broadcasting a series of SSTV images over an amateur radio frequency for anyone interested in retrieving them so my friend Joe Ball tuned in for eight passes and used a handheld amateur radio to listen while an app on his phone decoded it. The video is from our winter campsite last night where you can see the moon (the big light) and the ISS pass across the sky while the audio is the image data coming over the radio as his phone is decodes it.
