One of my favorite places is Reelfoot Lake in West Tennessee. Reelfoot has several mating pairs of eagles that stay at Reelfoot year round. We like to take the day and drive to the lake, then spend the rest of the day driving around looking for eagles. Then get a room for the night and get up and spend most of the day driving around looking again.
I’ve shared a few pictures of how an eagle ages the first five years of their life. So in some cases you may not recognize that it’s an eagle. A fledgling is totally black. There are eagle nest in the Smoky Mountains area.
If you’ve seen one and have a shot of it I’d love to see. Or if you know where a nest exist and would like to share. Some of the nest in West Tennessee are on private property so unless you have permission you would need a zoom lens.

Spring means new babies everywhere. Some Mamas want to show you their little ones. Others are like no no no. This Mama was not bothered. So we watched them for a few minutes. Enough to laugh all the way home🤎🤎🤎🐻

Most people have no clue what it’s like to be in the middle of wildlife like this. I’ve tried to learn as much as I could before we did this. It’s something so amazing I can’t explain it. I never felt fear. I wish I would have not worried about pics and video as much

Imagine triplets. One goes one way and the other goes another who does she go to. I wondered how she knew so quickly. I didn’t hear anything, but I’m sure Mama did. What an exciting few moments. 🤎🤎🤎
