Big Boy in Ellwood City!🚂

Some moments are worth waiting for.

Watching Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 roll through Ellwood City, Pennsylvania was one of those moments. Hearing the whistle echo through the trees before seeing the locomotive emerge around the bend is something photos can only hint at.

Standing there as one of the largest operating steam locomotives in the world passed by was an experience I’ll remember for a long time. It’s a reminder that history isn’t confined to museums. Sometimes it comes alive and rolls right through your hometown.

Enjoy and have a beautiful evening! 🤘🏼✨🌌

A Quiet Encounter. 🤫✨

There are times in wildlife photography where the distance between you and the subject seems to disappear. For a few minutes, curiosity replaced caution, and we simply watched each other.

Every encounter leaves me with a deeper appreciation for the wild places that still exist and the animals that call them home. Being trusted with even a few minutes like this is something I’ll never take for granted. Especially with an animal as finicky as these guys.

Enjoy and have a beautiful day! 🤙🏼☀️

Every Fourth of July Has a Story. 🫶🏼🤘🏼

For me, this holiday has become about more than fireworks. It’s about the memories behind them, the people I’ve met, the places they’ve taken me, and the journey they’ve inspired.

Looking back through these photos reminds me that it all started with a camera, a tripod, and a desire to create something beautiful. Year after year, each show taught me something new and each season pushed me to grow as both a photographer and a person.

Today, I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunities this journey has brought into my life and for everyone who has supported me along the way.

As we celebrate Independence Day, I wanted to share a few of my favorite fireworks photographs from over the years. From my very first time photographing them to my most recent. They represent not just moments in the sky, but chapters of a journey I’m grateful to still be on.

Happy Fourth of July, everyone. Stay safe, enjoy the time with family and friends, and never stop looking up. ❤️🇺🇸🎆

Where the Show Begins. 🎆✨

For most people, fireworks begin with the first boom.
For me, I had the opportunity to see where the story actually begins.

Before these shells ever light up the night sky, they’re carefully built by hand. Every color, every pattern, and every effect starts long before the countdown. Then there’s the music, the choreography, and all the planning that brings everything together into a single performance. Seeing the craftsmanship that goes into everything gave me an even greater appreciation for what we all experience when we look up on show night.

The more time I spend around this incredible team, the more respect I have for what they do. Every shell represents countless hours of planning, attention to detail, and pride before it ever reaches the sky.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone at Zambelli Fireworks for welcoming me behind the scenes and allowing me to witness a side of this industry that most people never get to see. It’s something I’ll never take for granted.🫶🏼🫶🏼

The next time you look up at a fireworks display, remember that every burst of color begins with passion, precision, and the people who make it all possible. 🎇🌌

The Rest of the Story. 🌌💫🎆

This morning I shared the photograph that meant the most to me from Beaver County BOOM 2026.

These are the moments that surrounded it.

Every show tells a story that lasts only minutes, but behind every finished image are hundreds of decisions. Watching the sky, anticipating timing, waiting for colors to line up, hoping the smoke cooperates, and trusting that one more shutter click might become something special.

At first, everything was absolutely chaotic. From moving my gear, to changing my settings. I literally had to stop, breathe, and pull myself together.

Looking back through this collection reminds me just how incredible the production was. Huge shells, vibrant colors, reflections across the river, and a full moon peeking through the smoke made for a night I’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to Zambelli Fireworks for continuing to create moments that challenge me as a photographer and inspire me in every way, shape, and form. The show this year was beyond spectacular. You all have totally outdone yourselves. You should be so proud. 🫶🏼🫶🏼

One Year Later. 🤙🏼

Beaver County BOOM 2026!❤️🤍💙

A year ago, one photograph changed more than I ever expected.

It opened doors, started conversations, and led to opportunities I never imagined. Including building relationships with the incredible team at Zambelli Fireworks.

Tonight, I stood along the river once again, watching another Beaver County Boom light up the sky. Different show. Different perspective. Same passion that keeps bringing me back.

The show was huge. Monumental if you’d say. Never have I seen a show that spectacular. Here’s the start of what I captured.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support my work, and thank you to Zambelli Fireworks for an absolutely incredible show. The performance never disappoints and the feeling of the night remains for a lifetime. 🫶🏼🤘🏼🤙🏼🎆🎇

For best viewing, enlarge the photo and turn your phone sideways. 🤙🏼 More to follow!

One Photo. One Year. Everything Changed. ✨

Tomorrow marks one year since Beaver County Boom 2025.

At the time, it was simply another night behind the camera. I was standing along the river hoping that, somewhere between thousands of fireworks and countless shutter clicks, one frame would stand out.

This was that frame. What I couldn’t have imagined was where it would lead.

That single photograph opened the door to relationships I never expected, opportunities I never saw coming, and memories I’ll carry for the rest of my life. It led me to meet the incredible people at Zambelli Fireworks, photograph shows from perspectives I’d only dreamed about, and eventually see this very image featured on their 2026 calendar.

It’s easy to look at a finished photograph and see the final result. What you don’t see are the early mornings, late nights, the failed attempts, the miles driven, the patience, and the belief that someday the work would find the right people.

One year later, I’m reminded that you never know which photograph, conversation, or opportunity will change your path.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone at Zambelli Fireworks for believing in my work, and to everyone who’s followed my photography journey along the way. Your support has meant more than you know.

Here’s to the photo that changed everything… and to whatever comes next.

We’re ready for Beaver County BOOM 2026!

Heading to the show? Come say hi! You can find me in my Zambelli Fireworks polo! 🤙🏼🤙🏼

The Song Goes On 🐦‍⬛

The rain had already started falling, but that didn’t seem to matter.

Perched high above the wetlands, this red-winged blackbird continued to sing as the storm rolled in. No shelter. No pause. Just another morning doing exactly what nature intended.

Standing in the rain wasn’t exactly part of the plan, but neither was this photograph. That’s one of the things I love most about wildlife photography. You never really know what the next moment is going to bring. 🐦‍⬛🧡💛

Enjoy and have a beautiful day! 🤙🏼🫶🏼

Confidence Looks Good on Her. 🖤❤️

Julionna | Aliquippa High School Class of 2026 ✨

Some seniors walk into a session a little nervous. Julionna walked in ready to own it.

From the moment we started, she brought confidence, style, and her own personality to every shot. These are just a couple peeks from her session, and I already know her gallery is going to be one of those that’s hard to narrow down.

Senior year only happens once. It’s a season full of excitement, big decisions, and memories that will be talked about for years to come. Being trusted to capture even a small part of that journey is something I never take for granted.

Congratulations, Julionna. The future is bright, and Class of 2026 is lucky to have you leading the way. 🫶🏼
