Being a business owner and a mom means learning how to work in the middle of beautiful chaos. 💻🧸

While I’m over here on the computer answering emails, planning sessions, and working behind the scenes for my amazing clients… Olivia is hard at work too — making sure every single toy she owns gets evenly distributed across the living room. 😂

One toy out of the basket?
Absolutely not.

Now we’re getting somewhere.

This is the reality behind running a photography business as a stay-at-home mom. Some days it’s client consultations and editing galleries… and some days it’s stepping over stuffed animals while tiny hands “redecorate” the house.

And honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. ❤️
One day she’ll be big enough to look back at these moments — the toys, the mess, the memories — and know that her mom built something beautiful while she played right beside me.

Small business.
Big dreams.
And a very dedicated toy distributor. 🧺✨

Networking meeting today…

While the adults talked business, she waved at everyone like she owned the place.

Being a stay-at-home mom while building a photography business means sometimes my baby tags along to meetings.

And honestly… she might be the best networking strategy I’ve ever had.

Everyone remembers the photographer who brought the cute baby. 😅

Sometimes our youth could use a little pick me up along with beautiful artwork to show them that they are worthy of happiness, joy and to be shown love!

One of the unexpected joys of motherhood… matching outfits. 💚

My daughter Olivia is 13 months old, and the other day we were at the store because I needed new shoes. While I was looking, I noticed they had the exact same pair in her tiny little size… and obviously we had to get them.

Because how could I not?

Seeing her standing there in her little matching shoes next to mine just melted my heart.

These are the little moments of motherhood that feel simple now, but I know someday they’ll be the memories I treasure the most.

Being a photographer has also given me something really special as a mom — the ability to intentionally capture Olivia as she grows. Not just quick snapshots, but beautiful portraits of her personality, her curiosity, and the spark that makes her who she is.

One thing that’s really important to me is creating portraits for her bedroom walls. Images she’ll grow up seeing every day — photos that remind her how loved, strong, and beautiful she is.

Because I want her to grow up looking at those portraits and believing:

✨ I am beautiful
✨ I am strong
✨ I am confident
✨ I am worthy

Portraits aren’t just pictures. They shape the way our children see themselves.

And as both a mom and a photographer, that means everything to me.

Also… I have a feeling this won’t be the last pair of matching shoes we own. 😅

Hi everyone! I thought it was time I properly introduce myself to my new community. 💛

My name is Andrea, the face behind the camera at Beautifully You Portraits. My family and I recently made the move to Kyle, Texas and we are so excited to be here! Before settling in Texas, we lived on the beautiful Oregon coast in Tillamook, and before that we called Sioux Falls, South Dakota home. It’s been quite the journey, but we’re thrilled to be planting roots here in this wonderful community.

At home, life is full of love and a little bit of chaos in the best way. I have a 13-month-old daughter named Olivia who keeps me on my toes and reminds me every single day just how quickly the little moments pass by. We also have our 5-year-old “super mutt” Rocky, who believes he is both a lap dog and the official protector of the house. And of course my amazing fiancé, Rob, who supports all of my big ideas and adventures.

Becoming a mom has made photography even more meaningful to me. I understand firsthand how quickly milestones come and go — the tiny fingers, the belly laughs, the first birthdays, and all the moments in between that deserve to be remembered.

As I settle into Kyle and the surrounding communities, I truly look forward to meeting you, learning your stories, and capturing the moments that matter most in your lives. My goal is not just to take photos, but to build lasting relationships with the families I photograph and create heirloom artwork that will be treasured for generations.

I can’t wait to get to know everyone here and be part of documenting your family’s milestones and memories. 💫
