When I in Awesome Wonder

When I in Awesome Wonder "O Lord, my God, when I, in awesome wonder, consider all the worlds Thy hands have made..."

I'm not a professional photographer but I find great joy in grabbing my camera and capturing the everyday moments of my life as they happen.

A feat of fowl photography on a fabulously fashioned forested footpath.

Translation: I took a bunch of pictures of Canada Geese at Deer Lake, a jewel of a lake smack dab in the middle of the metropolis of Burnaby.

Canada Geese are often considered a nuisance but I watched them closely for quite some time and was amazed at their uniqueness, their community mindedness, and their individual personalities.

If you're not a fan of geese, this album isn't for you. Look away now.

If you're a fan, or like a happy ending, press on!

It's been a couple weeks (or is it more?) since I set this page up. I had hoped to be posting a lot of photos between then and today, but between a recent round of multiple appointments and some low energy days, well, here we are. I can't promise a consistent flow of beautiful things to look at, but I'll do my best! I've just posted a taste of our tulip trip a couple days ago. More to come!

On Tuesday, April 30th, Bill and I drove south into Washington State for the afternoon to catch one last glimpse of the tulip fields before the last of the blooms were cut. I have a couple hundred photos to go through, but I'm gonna start with these teasers. So. Much. Colour.

Welcome to 'When I In Awesome Wonder'.

We are currently under construction and learning the ropes of navigating a page that seems to be meant for business, within the structure of best laid plans that often go awry on account of chronic illness. But that's not going to stop us!

Our only business here is to proclaim the wonders of God's creation-- 'theworldsthyhandshavemade'-- as seen through the lenses of my eyes and my camera(s).

Everything you see here is unfiltered, unedited (except for a crop here and there), unprocessed and shot in autofocus. I'm a point-and-shoot kinda girl. I have a lot to learn about photography and the 'proper' use of my camera, but I love to record what I see 'in the raw'...that is, just as I see it...and to share my unique view of the world around me.

It is my hope that, as I stop to 'smell the roses', and be present--with camera in hand--in the stolen moments of my life, that you will share my fascination and gratitude for the beauty of this world God has created.

'Then sings my soul, my Saviour, God, to Thee; how great Thou art!"
