Bubble wands beat any prop I could have brought. These two ran that creekside trail the whole shoot and I just followed with my camera

How I made my first photography packages 👀

I’m launching family photography this fall, and I had absolutely no idea what I should charge or what my packages should look like.

So instead of just guessing, I looked at what other photographers in my area were offering, compared pricing, looked at what was actually included, and used AI to help me organize all of it.

I ended up with three options:

Mini → Signature → Premium

And yes, I intentionally made the middle one the one I’d want most people to choose.

If you’re a photographer trying to figure out your own pricing/packages, hopefully this gives you a starting point.

First week of being a full-time photographer.

So naturally… I cleaned my room.

Not exactly the business move I thought I’d be making, but honestly, it needed to happen…

There’s something about having a clean space that makes your head feel lighter. And I’m realizing I don’t want to create from a place of clutter, procrastination, or that “everything is kind of a mess” energy.

I want to create from a place that feels clear. Intentional. Pure.

So yeah. Before the websites, emails, clients, marketing and all the other stuff…

I cleaned my room.

Maybe that was actually the right place to start.

If you’re building a website from scratch, you don’t necessarily need to know how to code

I built my photography website using 3 tools:

1. ChatGPT for strategy, copy, structure & ideas
2. Lovable for actually building the site
Claude for refining, troubleshooting & making everything work

I’m documenting what it looks like to turn photography from something I’ve done for years into an actual business.

This is what I’m using. This is what I’m learning. And I’m figuring it out as I go!
