We make bread every week, and the kids always get to make a roll for their sandwiches. This week RED wanted to make a unicorn so we tried a cookie cutter. She also used the extra dough for hearts. RFD tried to eat his before baking, so his dinosaur is slightly smaller.

Who gets senior portraits?

Senior portraits are traditionally graduating high school seniors (but they can also be college).
This will generally be during their senior year, but depending on the state and yearbook deadlines, may be transitioning juniors before they start their senior year.

Parents and guardians are generally the decision makers when it comes to investing in the portraits, but I have found connecting with the senior and including them in the planning and artistic process is what really helps us capture their personality, tell their story and get REAL, AUTHENTIC, and ICONIC portraits.

Choosing outfits for senior portraits
Start with cohesive colors, vibes and fabrics for the locations. If you are wearing a pattern, choose something that adds to and/or blends with the background, not distracts from. Colors and fabrics add to the feel of your portraits and help tell the story
Organic lines, colors and fabrics go well with organic (nature) locations
Indoor, industrial or modern locations can have bold, bright, or harsher clothing options
Be sure to also look at accessories like shoes, bracelets, earrings, belts, hats etc
Remeber, the portraits are not about your clothes, they are about you. The clothes are just helping us tell your story. What vibe do you want in your portraits, lets come up with the perfect look to tell your story.

I get it, you’re looking at the calendar for this year and thinking “man, senior year is packed” and you are trying to weigh out the options, what to participate in, and what to do for you and your senior.
And senior pictures seems like just one more thing to “handle”
But, if I am being super honest with you, these are the things that matter the most. Senior year only happens once, and it will absolutely fly by. The pictures you have, printed in your gorgeous album, hung on your walls, will be what you actually have to remember this year.
These pictures are the memory joggers, the conversation starters, the way to keep the legacy alive and help the story of your senior be told.

Yes, senior portraits matter. And printing them matters too😉
