What are Senior Portraits (senior Pictures)?
TLDR - they are formal (professionally photographed)pictures of a student for their senior year in high school.
Senior portraits, or senior pictures, are in the simplest definition, professionally photographed images of a student in their senior year of high school. These images can be photographed in a variety of settings, outfits and times leading up to the graduation. Depending on your state, district, and school, you may receive traditional school pictures through a contracted photographer, or you may be able to choose your own photographer and style of portraits.
These portraits are generally used in the yearbook, and are printed larger than the pictures of the other classes, but they can also be utilized in a variety of ways, from senior announcements, graduation slideshows, scholarship applications and commitment announcements.
Students and families are able to decide what type and style of senior portraits they want whether it include the traditional cap and gown photo, or something that is more fun and curated to the students personality, accomplishments, and interests.
