I work hard to keep this page focused on the dogs and full of good news, but today I feel it's important to share something personal: I have lupus.
For those unfamiliar, lupus is an autoimmune disease where the body attacks itself. It can affect the organs, skin, hair, energy levels, and just about everything in between.
The past two weeks have been a whirlwind. We welcomed three litters, including a middle-of-the-night C-section and another emergency drive to our vet. Every mama and baby came first, as they always will. But I'll admit I pushed myself harder than I should have.
Those who follow along or have brought home one of our puppies know how much of my heart goes into this program, our families, and our dogs. I'm always looking for ways to grow, innovate, and do better.
Right now, doing better means listening to my body. My flares have been coming every few days, so I'm committing to more rest. Beyond being a breeder, I'm a wife, a homeschool mom to four amazing kids, and we run a small farm. Taking care of myself is how I keep showing up for all of them, and for you.
With all of the exciting new litters, we are so grateful for the applications that pop into my email a few times a day. I feel truly blessed by your continued support.
To those newly applying, please allow up to 48 hours to hear back from me. Every application is read with care, and our dogs and puppies will continue to receive the same love and attention they always have.
Thank you for your grace, your support, and for being part of this community. 🐾
