Some days I feel like I live in the past.

I keep reminiscing on photos that make me feel differently or look like they belong in another time.

This...This reason is why I love the fact that we shoot film.

Years ago I gave up film, I didn't have the patience for it. I was in the dark room and just didn't like the experience, I felt that digital was the way to go, but I kept trying to make my work perfect.

With film the imperfections is what makes it perfect.

And so much like life. Our imperfections is what drives the force behind what we do, not to make it perfect but to embrace our imperfections!

The movement of her dress, the way he’s holding her, the light coming through the window… these are the photographs I’m always looking for on a wedding day. The images that feel like a memory rather than a picture.

These photo is all about the details, the embroidery, the colors, the jewelry, the fabrics, and the way friends can share a moment without even needing to pose perfectly. ✨

On Allyssa and Hasan’s wedding day, Allyssa wore a pink soiree that was originally made for Hasan’s mom to wear on her own wedding day. But she was never able to wear it. Instead, she saved it for the day her future daughter-in-law would get to wear it.

And years later, it became part of Allyssa and Hasan’s wedding story. 🥹

I love that this image captures more than just two beautiful dresses. It holds family history, tradition, love, and something passed from one generation to the next.

These are the stories I want to preserve when I photograph a wedding. The little details that may seem simple in the moment but become priceless with time.

There’s something about gardens like this that feels completely outside of time. 🌿

The kind of beauty that doesn’t need to be perfectly manicured or overly posed, it just exists, quietly, and gets better with age.

This is exactly what I love about film photography. The softness, the imperfections, the way it makes an ordinary moment or place feel like something you’ll want to remember forever.

It doesn’t matter what year these photos were taken. What matters is that they still feel beautiful, emotional, and timeless years later.

That’s one of the most important things to consider when choosing a wedding photographer. Trends come and go—editing styles, poses, colors, and compositions—but your wedding photos should never feel stuck in a certain year.

When you look back at them 10, 20, or 50 years from now, you should still see your people, your emotions, and your story—not a photography trend.

Don’t just choose a photographer whose work you love today. Choose someone whose work you can imagine loving for the rest of your life.

You don’t need to know how to pose for your engagement session

Your photographer should direct you rather than expect you to magically know what to do.

The best photos often come from movement and interaction.

Walking, talking, laughing, dancing, and simply being together create natural images.

Wedding day vibes for Juliet & Will 🤍

One of my favorite things to encourage my couples to do is take 5–10 minutes completely alone together on their wedding day.

No timeline. No guests. No distractions. Just the two of them taking a breath and soaking it all in.

And yes, we get some of my favorite photos during this time—but more importantly, it gives them a chance to pause and actually feel the moment. Because the day goes by way too fast. ✨
