To keep it short and simple, I have just had one unfortunate event after another nonstop, well, most of my life with no breaks. I have not had my place in 20 years and have been homeless for over 11 years.
I finally got an apartment, and though it was a struggle to keep without a steady income besides a limited disability, I fought to keep it for two and a half years. I recently lost the apartment and got a small storage and a hotel with all I had left to my name.
I have a masseuse practice that should have more than kept the bills paid had I been able to support clients, but I know that's due to the area and not my professionalism or skill set. This hotel has massive triggers and is nowhere near as pleasant as the apartment I lost; it is better than being on the streets in a town with no support, family, or friends. I did file for income tax, but that's so far off and eons away from coming when I need it most. To stay here 30 days at a time, it's a little over $1640. To stay three weeks at a time is a little over $1000, and for two weeks, it's just over $600.
I brought my massage table with me just in case I can start booking new clients rather than regret leaving it on storage. If you truly knew me, you'd know how harsh for me to even create anything like this, but I need help, not judgments. I plan to stay here long enough until 1. the income tax gets processed, and I can move, or 2. Find a job to bring in the needed income to pay the hotel cost. I don't believe in these because, from what I have seen, they only work for certain groups of people, not those who genuinely need them to work; I hope this is proven wrong.
In closing, the 1st will be the end of my 21 days, and I don't have the funds to extend or rebook unless I get a financial miracle. Thanks for your time.
