I should just say Happy 4th of July but I have some rants first, sorry about it.
Every time they call for severe storms or tornado warnings I share the posts to my social media and stories. And people comment " I wouldn't have known this unless you had posted it." Why? Why am I 1000 miles away and have to update ya'll on your own severe weather? I have had friends and family shake their heads and act like I'm ridiculous for going into the basement instead of out driving in tornado warnings, or standing out on the porch looking for it. This storm that just devastated Walworth County supposedly "came out of nowhere." Yeah, thats what happens. Tornados come rain wrapped. High winds pick up immediately. These aren't "nice summer storms" anymore. "But they say bad storms and then nothing happens"...good! You prepare and then thank God nothing happened. Why would you prepare and then hope the bad storms come because they said they would?
Praying for Walworth County, I hope eveyone heals from the storm and emotional damage quickly. That being said, shaming people for wanting to see fireworks and parades just because a tragedy happened is insane. Live your lives. Like seriously, LIVE your lives. Do all the things. But for the love of God, check the radar, it's not hard to click the weather app.
And on a completely different note, I swear to dog Colorado you better not set off a single firework. Risking it for 6 seconds of seeing something shiny is insane, the entire state is in emergency and on fire. The amount of people saying "i dont care I'm going to celebrate" in group pages is wild and unacceptable. Please pray for Colorado as well.
