The lovely Sullivan Family

Truly, I love meeting up with this family every summer. They embody my favorite motto when it comes to family photography: “let kids be kids”. They love each other so much and I love capturing all the different stages of their childhoods. What a pinch me honor that is to get to have.

Morgan & Derek

What an honor to capture this stunner! Morgan and Derek have a heart for the lake and these two came in all the way from Michigan to say “I do” on the water surrounded by their closest immediate family members. It was beautiful and truly quintessential LG.
They started their day by saying their vows to another completely alone, followed by a first look by the marina at The Abbey, ch*****ne toast, and off for portraits before meeting up with their family for a boat ride around the lake to seal the day. They were then dropped off for their beautiful reception dinner at Pier 290. Truly, this one is going to live in books 🥂 🌊

The light and architecture of the Art Institute of Chicago cannot be surpassed, but it was simply the cherry on top of getting to capture these two. Keeping things classic and timeless will always be my favorite👌 cannot wait to capture these two and their Lake Geneva wedding next year!

Taylor & Jack Part II

When Taylor & Jack’s waterfront ceremony ended, they were immediately brought their own signature drinks garnished with flowers & fruit plucked fresh from the garden where cocktail hour was held. Truly, this celebration was dreamy in every way. The gorgeous August sun lit up every wildflower field encompassing this farm. The giant barn side tent, where Taylor & Jack’s reception was held, was straight up cinematic, but it was the moments that took place under that tent that truly took our breath away and left us teary eyed behind our lenses. Taylor & Jack were truly present and took in every single second of this day. It wasn’t a production. They didn’t stress a single detail. The only thing that mattered was their marriage and every single loved one who were part of their stories and got them to this day. These two were a joy to capture in every sense. What a gift to have been witness to it all!

Taylor & Jack Part I

Goodness gracious, we’re not sure where to even begin with Tay & Jack. Separately, these two are their own individual magical unicorns and somehow they found one another and make the other even more magical. We’ve never witnessed a more lived in the moment wedding than this day. These two couldn’t have been more present. It was ethereal, joyful, relaxed, and focused on everything that was most important to Taylor & Jack: the two of them and their people. They both love so big and they were surrounded by that love and celebration from beginning to end. So much more to share in Part II! We’re just so thankful to have been a part of this day with these two 🥰

How is it already the end of August?! This summer has been amazing and flown by so fast. We’d never wish it away, but the cool in the breeze lately has us so excited for cozy season…when it gets here.

Exactly 15 years ago to the day and almost the hour. Still in school, engaged for three months, the night before our wedding. We had no idea what Pinterest was. Instagram was where you posted a tiny little unedited square. We had no idea how to plan a wedding. All we knew was that we wanted to be married and be best friends forever and it needed to happen in time for school to start the next week in Virginia. We truly were babies. What gift to grow up together over these 15 years and to have had so much time. To have had babies while we were still babies. ❤️
