Much of the ice has melted around Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, but there's still plenty to be found. These icy images were captured today (Jan. 27, 2014) in Chimney Rock, as were the photos of the wild turkeys and great blue heron. With and overnight low of 24 degrees predicted, we may see a little more ice tomorrow.
