Dragonflies are the savage little beauties of summer—fierce hunters with shimmering wings, dancing like tiny miracles in the sun. And maybe that’s why they feel like angels from heaven… as if angels traded their halos for wings and came down to play in the sunshine, reminding us that even the wildest souls can still be breathtakingly beautiful.

Some train rides take you places… and some take you back.

Today was both.

Through the gorgeous views of the Conway Scenic, every curve in the track carried memories of a friend — the laughter, the stories, and the moments that somehow still ride along beside you.

Some people leave the station too soon, but the memories stay on board forever.

Tiny turkey feet tiptoeing across the railroad ties, tiny peeps echoing through the air, and a worried mama waiting nearby. Watching those little fluffballs find their way back home was the sweetest reminder that even the smallest adventures can have the happiest endings.

Earlier today there was a turkey on the tracks (we were not running today) and I walked down the tracks to try to get a shot! And was confused as to why Tomasina the Turkey wasn’t running away! And then I was close enough to notice about 10-12 baby turkeys stuck in between the rails. They were still to little to jump over. So Jen and I carefully picked them all up and got them to safety and back with Mom!
