It’s the ritual.
The decision.
The tiny, defiant moment where you look in the mirror and decide you are done shrinking.

Because here’s the truth. Bold confidence does open you up to being judged. Misunderstood. Maybe even ridiculed.

And does that still sting sometimes? Of course it does. We’re human.

But the amount of time we waste worrying about other people’s opinions can quietly chip away at our calling, our purpose, and the woman we were created to become.

I’m so honored to be featured in Bold Journey.

This article gave me the opportunity to share a little more of my heart behind Avy Productions. My journey with confidence, my faith, the lessons I’ve learned through building this business, and why photographing women, entrepreneurs, families, dancers, seniors, and the people who trust me with their stories means so much to me.

I believe confidence is built little by little. It is built through showing up, doing hard things, learning, growing, and remembering who you are when the world gets loud.

That is such a big part of why I do what I do. Yes, I want to create beautiful, magazine style portraits, but even more than that, I want people to walk away seeing themselves with fresh eyes.
