Did you know newborn sessions were THAT warm? 🥵
Every time I photograph a newborn, I think of this scene from The Office where Jan apologizes for the temperature because honestly… the rest of us are melting. 😂
But the baby is nice and cozy. And when you think about it, they’ve spent the last nine months hanging out at roughly 98.6°, so the warm studio feels a whole lot more familiar to them than it does to me.
Newborn photographers, if you can never seem to get a baby to sleep, there’s a really good chance your studio isn’t warm enough. I’ve learned this after 15 years and hundreds of sessions: a cold baby is not a sleepy baby.
So yes, we’re all hot, but baby is warm, comfortable, and much more likely to settle into those sweet, sleepy photos… and it is 100% worth it in the end! 🤍
