A couple of weeks ago I had a pleasure to visit Flower Feline Sanctuary and meet a few wonderful kitties and their guardian. This blue-eyed beauty is Sophie, and today I've got a word that she's got adopted. Happy new beginning, Sophie!

Beautiful Sohpie, and several other FFS kitties, had a professional photo session recently. Svetlana is obviously a true cat lover to capture such incredible images. She has quite a few kitties of her own, including some with very special needs. Stay tuned for more of these fabulous photos. Thank you Svetlana!

Hey, look who arrived yesterday to Seattle Area Feline Rescue from Eastern WA. This five week old kitten, his momma and five siblings, and 17 more cats and kittens were saved from wildfires in that area. These little ones would like to thank everyone who supports animals in needs. You guys are ameowzing!

I sent Joey, my foster cat, home today! He's been with us for about a month. Joey lost his home and was fending by himself, hungry and severely matted until a kind person found him in Eastern Washington and sent to Seattle Area Feline Rescue. During his outdoor adventures, Joey got an infection that let to a severe ocular disease and bad URI. Ah yep, to make the full circle, Joey is FIV positive.

We were taking medications and eye drops four times a day, and eventually, Joey's eye ulcer is gone, he gained weight and feels so much better now! As soon as Joey was cleared for adoption, his new family grabbed him right away. I love him so much, and I'm also very excited for his and his family happily ever after.

Happy from Kara, my previous foster. She and her sister Eir was recently adopted, and I've heard back from their new dad that the young ladies and getting used to him and his new home. They graduated from "socialization" classes with me, and can be very easily bribed with food 🙂 Dried minnow is the hit.

This is Asha, The Magical Cat. He most definitely put his spell on me when I was taking his pictures at Seattle Area Feline Rescue so I was not able to stop cuddling with him. Can you feel his magic through the photograph? Asha is sending his hypnotic message that his destiny is to become your best friend.⁠

Happy ! Let me introduce Daneal. He is a kind of a cat that we usually call "shy" but as long as he can call you his friend, he will love you for his entire life. Daneal is waiting for his The Only Family in one of Seattle Area Feline Rescue foster homes.

Miss Kara and Miss Eir are officially available for adoption at Seattle Area Feline Rescue. For me it's always the hardest part as I would keep them all, but what stops me from doing so is that there is always someone else who needs immediate help. These two girls came to us about a month ago: scared, not socialized, sick, and the black and white one was also severely underweight for her age. We named the tabby Kara and the black and white tiny one Eir. The socialization process was easy - luckily these two have never complained about bad appetite. We had one scary night though when Eir's cold worsened and she started breezing very loudly. We spent almost all night at emergency but fortunately it was nothing critical, and the next morning SAFe's Dr. Green was able to find time in her tight schedule and help Eir. Now these two are doing very well. Eir is almost as big as Kara, they love to cuddle and sit on my laps, they are calm and gentle, they never play rough, and they learned how to communicate with people and know what the best things in life are. So.. Good luck, young ladies. Your new family is going to be very lucky and I'm sure you two will be loved as much as we love you.

Miss Eir, my foster from Seattle Area Feline Rescue and a former "shy" kitten, thinks this is a relaxing pose. Now she purrs as she sees me, she got over her bad URI, and gained a lot of weight and is almost as big as her sister Kara. They are almost ready for foster graduation and a family of their own... And yes, they both love the catnip banana by Brighter Sides but this deserves a separate post.
