I was so honored to be able to photograph this family again for both their maternity and newborn photos. This sweet boy was such an amazing sleeper! Usually when a family comes in saying "He's really good" the opposite shows up for photos 🫠 But he truly was perfect!

If you saw my previous post, you know his brother was all about photos which made it so fun.

A few fart jokes and he was all smiles.

Seriously though, he was soooo, so happy to take photos with his baby brother. And he had a ton of questions about what all I was doing. It's like he got a free learning session from me, haha.

More to come from this session later this week. I'm solo parenting for the next few weeks while my husband is on a work trip, so my normal editing "schedule" is a bit different in the meantime.

I am taking due dates for the remainder of 2026! Now's the time to reach out to get your session into the calendar. 🥰

If all nights could be as perfect and beautiful as it was for this family, I would be one happy photographer. 17ish years of doing this (17? when did that happen?) and this session's weather was my absolute favorite. This family has such a beautiful, loving bond and I'm so thrilled to see them again for baby #2. Their daughter is absolutely a ham!

Also, the behind the scenes moments from the last 5 minutes or so of this session would have you crying with laughter. It's one of those "you had to be there" moments, but let's just say I had a bonus helper. It was definitely a first for me. This job never is dull, that's for sure. 😂

Summer stuff - an update (and de-stash announcement)

Ready or not, summer break is just around the corner! My schedule the next few months is extremely limited due to me being gone for part of the summer.

I'm also going to be having a major de-stash event which will take away some studio days to get that set up, have the event, and then items put away (but hopefully there's nothing left)

With that said, my calendar for June, July, and August is nearly full. So we're taking, at most, 5 sessions still available for the summer months. If you've been waiting to schedule, wait no more! Reach out with your preferred month or your due date and let's get that ball rolling. For those wanting fall, that calendar will be opening at the end of July/beginning of August.

If you're a photographer and your ears perked up at the thought of a de-stash because I have a TON of stuff, send over a message and ignore the auto responder. Once I have dates figured out I'll let you know the details. I have a *lot* that needs to go away from props to studio equipment to maternity dresses and flower crowns to faux flooring and holiday backdrops and everything in between. I will check my messages and reach out once I have things figured out. I'm aiming for late June.

Anywho, things are *super* busy over here between typical photography stuff and end of school activities with the added fun of one of my kids graduating 8th grade. Buuuuuut I saw this sweet girl in the studio today and I cannot wait to get things edited for her family.

I was sick earlier in the week and totally lost track of what day it was. I spent most of yesterday thinking it was today (Thursday), so that was neat. I even packed my oldest a lunch when she didn't need it, haha. 🫠 Luckily both yesterday and today were editing days, so I didn't mess up any appointments at the studio.

This family has been patiently waiting on a sneak peek from their beautiful session. This baby boy is SO loved already. He quickly settled in while I worked with him and let me do my thing. Congratulations!!

Wrapping up galleries today for those waiting on them! Like this growing family, complete with a super excited big brother (with a funny personality to boot). We lucked out with some amazing weather and had a beautiful mix of both outdoors and in-studio photos.

I cannot wait to welcome them back to my studio when baby #2 is here! Its always such a blessing when families trust me with these important family milestones!
