Summer is in full swing, but before you know it we will be sending kids back to the classroom for another year. Document the memories with a Back to School Mini Session- perfect for those first day photos! Each session is $25 for a single student {siblings can be added for an additional $10 fee}. While all of the photos that I take hold a special place in my heart, some stick out in my mind more than others. This will be one of those images for sure.
I first met this family around 10 years ago, when Melissa (the bride in the photo on the left) hired me to take photos of her daughter. Over the last decade, I've taken countless photos for this family and have had the pleasure of meeting Melissa's parents and her siblings. Yesterday, I had the honor of capturing some wedding photos for her little sister, Kayla, at the same church where her sister was married years ago. While she didn't technically get married here, she requested to snap a photo of her "walking down the aisle" in hopes that we could create an image of her with her father similar to the one from her sister's wedding {since he passed away a few years back but would have been so honored to be by her side}. While I wasn't 100% sure how we could make this happen, I knew I was going to give it my all.
The church layout was a bit different from back then, but we did our best. The photo on the far right is one I took of Kayla, and then I was able to use the photo on the left that Melissa provided me from her big day. With a little help from AI we were able to make it come together. I even updated dad's flowers on his jacket to match her bouquet. While I typically not a fan of using things like Chat GPT, moments like this deserve a little boost from technology.

That's right, summer is in full swing- and by this time those kids are getting antsy and starting to slowly drive you a little crazy. So why not start planning to send them back to school?!
