Here is a flyer with information about three events tied to my solo exhibition, “A Gathering of Waters,” Mississippi WMO.

OPENING RECEPTION:
Friday, September 4th, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

TWO CYANOTYPE WORKSHOPS:
Saturday, September 19th, and Saturday, October 3rd. Both workshops will take place between 1pm and 3pm. The workshops are free, but registration is required.

I am thrilled to share that I have an upcoming solo exhibition of new work at the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization. Entitled, “A Gathering of Waters,” this piece is multi-sensory and interactive, exploring how we live with the River and how the River lives with us. Employing photography, sculpture, sound, and scent, the work is visually and materially sourced from Wakpa Taŋka, a collaboration with the Great River, embracing water as the storyteller.

EXHIBITION DATES:
September 4th to November 30th, 2026

OPENING RECEPTION:
Friday, September 4th, 5:00PM to 8:00PM

LOCATION:
Mississippi WMO is located at 2522 Marshall Street NE in Minneapolis.

I would like to invite you to the opening so you can see the exhibition in person. It is free and open to the public. All are welcome!

If you are unable to attend the reception, I am happy to arrange a viewing at your convenience. Please feel free to DM me.

Just got my 120mm film scans, images created Forgan Arts Centre in Scotland during my recent summer residency with The Sustainable Darkroom. I tried out my new Holga panoramic pinhole camera with Portrait 400 film, and these were the results. Pretty excited about the results!

Attended a wonderful four-day summer residency Forgan Arts Centre with The Sustainable Darkroom. Along with a fantastic group of artists from around the world, we learned about how to use alternative practice to disrupt the toxic, extractive, and transhumanist economies that have supported, and continue to support, photography and lens-based media. With slow, embodied, and land-based making, centered on making with plants, low-toxic process, and ecologically-minded waste management (Fenton’s), we processed 35mm and 16mm film with handmade plant-based developer and cyanotype. I also learned about how to bleach film while preserving the gelatin layer and received an introduction to muddy developer made from spent coffee grounds and wood ash. As a group we made still and moving images, including 16mm photograms. I also took the opportunity to make 120mm pinhole imagery with my panoramic Holga and continued my lumen-making in the gorgeous gardens. Thank you to both and Hannah Fletcher for an amazing program as well as Forgan Arts Centre for hosting us. Lots left to ponder…

Announcing that I will be participating in an upcoming group exhibition, “Memory Against Forgetting,” with FotoMatter Form + Content Gallery.

My piece entitled, “Jamming Signal,” is a response to those who abuse power - individuals who want to be seen, to be worshipped, and to be remembered at any cost. By layering hundreds of screenshots, themselves copies of copies, the hyper-visible is slowly blurred, obfuscated, degraded, and obliterated. This is a process of adding to subtract, flattening, and testing the limits of photographic representation. This is an anti-memorial.

“MEMORY AGAINST FORGETTING” is on view Form + Content Gallery from June 25 to August 1, 2026.

OPENING RECEPTION: Sunday, June 28, 2pm - 5pm.

“Memory Against Forgetting” is a group exhibition of works by FotoMatter artists. The exhibition title is inspired by a quote from the Czech novelist Milan Kundera:

“The struggle of man against power is the struggle of memory against forgetting.”

Kundera’s words remind us that memory is not passive. Remembering, whether personal, cultural, political, or historical, can be a form of resistance. Power often relies on erasure, silence, or the rewriting of narratives. To remember is to push back against that forgetting and to preserve identity, experience, and truth.

The works included in this show span across lens-based photography, alternative process, installation, participatory work, book arts, and time-based media — a representation of the diverse practices of FotoMatter collective artists.

My semester wrapped yesterday. Here is a selection of work from the last few weeks of class: more lumen prints, hand-colored thermal camera prints, and digitally collaged film soup images. The students did great work and I’m proud of them!
