I have so much catching up to do on posts, so stay tuned to see all of the photos I've been taking βοΈ but I wanted to post these images I captured for at Denver Pride yesterday π³οΈβππ³οΈββ§οΈ
This was my first time walking and witnessing the Denver Pride Parade. I usually tabled when I was organizing and never got a chance to experience it. But wow! The energy was incredible!
The entire time, you could see the happiness and the joy Pride is now known for. The celebration of how far we have come and how big our community is. But you could also feel the pain, the frustration, and the anger of existing in a world that wants you gone. A world that doesn't protect you when it should. A world where you have to scream to be heard. And even then, there is always someone who will ignore you and push you back down.
But if one thing is clear to me, it's this: yes, folks will continue to fight, we'll continue to celebrate and highlight the joy in our lives, but more importantly, we'll continue to exist whether they want us to or not. Because we're here, we have been here, and we won't go anywhere.
