Hi friends - an update on the day we’re all supposed to share what we’re grateful for.
I’ve been running JKP full time for 2.5 years. So to say “I’m going full time” doesn’t feel right. This whole time I’ve also been working my other full time job. What started as “can you photograph my elopement?” and “this is just a side gig, I could never quit my job” has turned into this. As of this week, I’m no longer working at my corporate job and all of my time is going to JKP.
A dream my 18 year old self could never have imaged would be a reality. It is the joy of my life getting to celebrate with so many couples. You, your wedding day, friends and family are precious to me. Corny and cringe through and through - this job sets my heart on fire.
Though I am a creative, I am still a numbers girlie through and through. 42 couples have trusted me with their memories so far. I’ve been the second photographer for 34 weddings. I’m celebrating with 13 more (and counting) for 2026.
I want to scream thank you until I’m hoarse. I want to share all the cringey videos of me crying while I read the kindest words from my friends. I’m in a constant state of overwhelm with gratitude. For my couples, for my friends, for my family, for my
husband. It’s all because of you.
So.
Here’s to a career change at 35.
Here’s to not letting dreams be dreams.
Here’s to doing it scared.
Here’s to us 🤍
